GatherApp
A social planning platform. Getting a group of people to agree on a time and a place is a problem software keeps failing at, so I had a go.
Why I built it
Every group I am in organises itself through a chat thread, and every chat thread fails the same way: the plan scrolls away, three people never see it, and nobody can tell who is actually coming.
The problem
Group chat is a conversation, not a planning tool. Events get proposed, buried, re-proposed and abandoned. The information needed to decide — who is free, who is interested, what the options were — never survives the thread.
What I was using before
Group chats, plus a spreadsheet for the one annual trip where it mattered enough. Both were worse than nothing, because both felt like a decision when they were only a place to talk.
What it does
- Propose an activity or event to your friends
- Friends express interest and give their availability
- Once a group forms, the details get organised in one place
- Everything for one plan in one place, instead of scattered through a conversation
Where it is now
Live at gatherapp.savvaskonstantinidis.gr — register and use it in a browser, no install. Built with a proper mobile codebase, so a store release is a decision rather than a rewrite.
Who it might interest
Anyone who runs a regular social group, a club, or a family that keeps failing to arrange the same dinner. It is aimed at the point of failure that chat apps have decided not to solve.

It needs an account, so the door is a sign-in page rather than a demo.
